CASTILLO CANENA RESERVA FAMILIAR ARBEQUINA 250ML

This oil stands out by its extraordinary delicacy and roundness, its huge complexity, its noticeable intensity, its body and most of all, its exceptional fruity, aromatic and tasty character. Its voluptuous vegetal scents are reminiscent of lemon zest, verbena, tomato leaf and olives. In the mouth it shows a crescent, very evolutionary palate with a velvety attack, which gives way to an explosion of greenness sensations nuanced by a light bitterness and a final piquant hint.
Oil produced by the Vañó family for generations. It is named after the castle owned by this family in Canena, Jaén, which was built by the Arabs on the ruins of an ancient Roman fort. The family manages the whole process of the elaboration of this olive oil and its distinguished presentation personally. In this olive groves located in a estate called El Conde de Guadiana, arbequina and picual olives are grown according to the rules of an integrated production. For generations it was usual to keep the best part of each variety's harvest for the family. Nowadays, the oil of these varieties is marketed under the name of Reserva Familiar de Cosecha Temprana.
