It has been defined by expert tasters as an excellent, complex product with a great personality. In the nose, it is very fresh, elegant and balanced and shows very marked vegetal aromas of artichokes, green almonds, escarole, green grass, tomato, green banana and aromatic herbs. In the mouth it is very dense and sweet and has very sharp aromas of artichokes, green almonds, coffee and bananas. It is also very elegant and balanced and has a soft piquant touch and a very persistent aftertaste.
Oil elaborated in the rural estate Masia El Altet, a family company devoted to the olive groves and whose olive oil is made exclusively with olives harvested from their estate. The estate is located between two Natural Parks known as Font Roja and Sierra de Mariola, in the mountains of Alcoy, in the province of Alicante. It is a place of an extreme beauty, plenty of aromatic herbs and local species, at 800 m altitude and at a distance of 30 km from the Mediterranean Sea. The microclimate of the area, with cold winters and warm summers, along with the strict characteristics of the continental climate provide this oil with unique nuances. It is made of a blend of 60% of picual olives, 20% of arbequina olives and 20% of local varieties: genovesa, blanqueta and alfafarenca. Olives are harvested when they reach a pre-veraison degree of ripeness, when they reach the highest aromatic and flavours expression, and are ground immediately after. Thanks to the care and attention paid during the whole production and elaboration process, the result is an oil with an unique composition and recognised by the best chefs worldwide.
