Himalayan pink salt
Mountain salt

The natural coloration of this salt ranges from pale pink to white. The beautiful pink color gets it from its iron content. Delicate and subtle crunchy taste. Fine, it enhances both raw and cooked dishes. High hardness, and very thick, it is special for salt grinders.
Himalayan pink salt is collected in the foothills of the Himalayas, the fruit of ancient seas dried more than 200 million years ago, in the secondary era. Huge amounts of salt settled gradually in successive strata. Fossilized salt is sometimes tens of meters thick. In the secondary era, deep faults separated the Earth's crust and several continents were individualized. Slowly, the Indian continent headed northeast, until it collided with the Neuroasian, forming, 45 million years ago, the Himalayas, 2,500 km long, and peaks of more than 8,000 m. This is how the salt of the ancient ocean was displaced north of the mountain range, in anti-plains at more than 3,000 m altitude. It was impregnated and compacted by magmatic fluids from the deep layers of the lithosphere, enriching it and giving it the pink color. Protected from the influences of time and pollution, it was stored in the same place until today. With all its original purity, thanks to its respectful treatment, it retains its natural constitution, and is rich in minerals and trace elements. No additives, no iodine.
