Made on the Island of Noirmoutier, western France, in the Loire area. The future of an agricultural tradition and the livelihoods of the salineros has been achieved through a contract in agreement with Aquasel to guarantee long-term price levels and production volumes. AQUASEL was founded in 1993 to recognize the hard work of all salt workers and set up a sales team to meet the specific needs of each client. Sea Salt comes from the evaporation of sea water, by the joint action of the wind and the sun, and is obtained by simply crushing the salt collected from the bottoms of the salt flats. During the summer months, the very fine crystals of this salt shine on the surface, where they dry naturally in the sun. Thanks to its traditional methods of manual collection, salt preserves minerals and trace elements from sea water.
